Joanna Sanchez

I’m Joanna Sanchez

A Colombian immigrant therapist. MS., LMFT-S

I have come a long way myself.

I hold a full license as a Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Texas.

My educational foundation includes a Master’s degree in Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Our Lady of the Lake University. Furthermore, I’ve earned a Master’s degree in Human Services from Springfield College and a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Colombia.

My profound appreciation for diverse cultures isn’t solely academic; it’s the result of over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families. This invaluable experience has allowed me to embrace the richness of varied perspectives and to wholeheartedly celebrate diversity.

My commitment to my work extends far beyond our scheduled sessions. I find immense joy in delving into the unique experiences of my clients, conducting extensive research, exploring a wide range of situations, collaborating with colleagues, and unearthing resources and ideas to enrich our therapeutic meetings.

Naturally, I am deeply committed to those I work with, consistently striving to be the best therapist I can be. I firmly believe that therapy is a shared journey of continuous transformation. To that end, I am always looking for ways to better serve you, addressing any concerns you may have about the process, and continually seeking avenues for improvement.
